This is How I Roll
If time allows for hair and makeup to work separately I use the Skyn Iceland eye patches to help hydrate, cool and depuff the under-eye area.
Next, I always prep the skin with Leland Francis Luxe face oil. I find the face oil penetrates deep and quick without leaving a greasy finish. I also use a drop or two in foundations when I want them to be a bit more glowing or to sheer a foundation out.
The third step I do is applying an eye cream, so the under-eye concealer will glide on smoother. The fourth thing is applying a lip balm: I like the Lucas Papaw as it’s hydrating and a bit on the thicker side so a little bit goes a long way.

Next, I use a the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Face Primer smoothing this on with my fingers After skincare is completed I comb the brows to see if I need to tweeze any stray hairs.
Lastly, I take a beauty blender and press it on to the skin to absorb any extra skincare that wasn’t absorbed, and then I apply concealer only where needed most generally under the eyes and around the nose.
By using concealer first, I find that I use less foundation and it helps to keep the skin looking like skin.
Never Again
When I first started in makeup, I was working at a makeup boutique in Oklahoma and my first attempt at smokey eye was a mess.
After a failed attempt of doing a smokey eye on a client, I simply gave the client a cleanser and asked her to wash her face, and she had eye shadow all over her face. I have definitely learned from my mistakes and I can now confidently say I know how to do a perfect smokey eye.
My Favorite On Screen Beauty Look
I love Dolly Parton in “9 to 5”.
I’m originally from the South and bigger hair always gets me. I also love that she loves to wear makeup.
