A crowd of young girls is ready for the arrival, on the blue carpet of the Giffoni Film Festival, of one of their favorite actresses: Clara Alonso, Italo-Argentinian, who played Angela Saramego in the famous teen TV series “Violetta“. Always smiling and with a magical enthusiasm, she tells that she has always wanted to be invited to this festival: “It is a unique place. I couldn’t wait to come back! The first time I came here I was almost undercover, but I was immediately struck by its energy. When the invitation arrived only a word came out from my mouth: “When“? “
Her success is not only international, but also and above all national: in fact, in 2015 she participated to the third edition of “Notti sul ghiaccio“, an Italian program, in which she was ranked third, while in 2017 Clara Alonso won the Dance Dance Dance tv program together with her boyfriend Diego Dominiguez.
Last but not least, in a few weeks she will start shooting a new film here in Italy, but she cannot reveal anything about it: “I am so happy to do it, especially because it gives me the opportunity to return to your wonderful country that I feel very close to my beloved Argentina: here I experience the same passion, the same way of facing challenges. And hospitality here makes me really feel at home.”
In her meeting with the jury members of the Giffoni Film Festival, Clara Alonso spoke with spontaneity, putting herself on the same footing as the young people who were listening to her: just like them, even Clara would like to meet her idols (including Julianne Moore, guest at the festival that same day). She had a tough past. She was bullied at school because of her intelligence that, when questioned about what magical power she would like to have, brought her to answer: “If I had a magic wand I would like to make all the injustices disappear and I know a lot of magic is needed for that!”
Thank you Mazda Italia for the Ride!
