We interviewed Dr. Campo to explore insights and advice on various aspects of skincare, including the use of Noble Panacea products and emerging trends in dermatology and cosmetics. In particular, we talked about the revolutionary Chronobiology Sleep Mask by Noble Panacea and how it sparked the creation of the Overnight Chronobiology Peel, redefining nighttime skincare rituals.
How did the technology behind the Chronobiology Sleep Mask inspire the creation of the Overnight Chronobiology Peel?
Following the success of the Chronobiology Sleep Mask, the Overnight Chronobiology Peel was developed to introduce a new approach to skin regeneration during nighttime rest. Scientific research underscores the importance of sleep for skin well-being: during the early night hours, skin repair occurs, while from 4 a.m. onwards, there is increased trans-epidermal water loss, necessitating hydration and soothing action. This new Peel allows for a professional-grade skin stimulation treatment at home, continually enhancing one’s evening skincare ritual.
How does OSMV™ technology work in the Overnight Chronobiology Peel, and what specific benefits does it offer to the skin during nighttime rest?
The revolutionary OSMV technology encapsulates ingredients within octagonal structures to protect them from degradation and enhance their delivery, resulting in a more potent and tenfold more effective outcome. Additionally, the release of encapsulated ingredients promotes up to 200% increased absorption into the skin. Through OSMV technology, the formulation of the Overnight Chronobiology Peel enables a programmed release in two phases: from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m., AHA acids (Mandelic, Malic, Tartaric, Glycolic, Lactic) and BHA (Salicylic Acid) stimulate skin regeneration; from 4 a.m. onwards, soothing and calming ingredients, particularly Gotu Kola extract from Centella Asiatica, are released. This dual mechanism promotes regenerated and radiant skin in the morning without irritation or redness.
What role do alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA) and beta-hydroxy acids (BHA) play in the treatment, and how do they contribute to the final result on the skin?
Alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA) are water-soluble exfoliants with various functions, primarily capable of removing superficial cells that make the skin dull and lackluster. Particularly, the Overnight Chronobiology Peel contains 5 AHA acids, which, through their diverse chemical structures, stimulate cellular turnover at various levels of the epidermis. Another characteristic of AHA action is their ability to stimulate fibroblasts in collagen production, promoting not only firmer and tighter skin but also a luminous and healthy appearance. Salicylic acid (BHA), on the other hand, is a lipid-soluble exfoliant that penetrates pores more effectively, removing excess sebum and allowing for deeper cleansing and blackhead removal. These exfoliating acids respect the skin barrier and aid in its regeneration, improving its uniformity and texture.
What advice would you give regarding the optimal application of the Overnight Chronobiology Peel using the Octabrush? Are there any particular “precautions” to consider?
The Octabrush is an applicator that enhances the skincare ritual with the Overnight Chronobiology Peel. Its octagonal shape, inspired by OSMV technology, promotes uniform and precise application across all areas of the face and neck. The only precaution regarding Peel application is to avoid the eye contour area, which, being thinner and more delicate, does not require exfoliation. Additionally, morning sunscreen application is recommended.

How can this peel be incorporated into an evening skincare routine?
Once a week, before bedtime and after cleansing and drying the face and neck, apply a uniform layer of Overnight Chronobiology Peel using the Octabrush. Leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes depending on skin type, then continue with the application of night cream. It becomes a weekly ritual that helps better achieve skincare routine results.
Noble Panacea is committed to Responsible Beauty and follows the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry. How do these practices influence the sustainability of products, including packaging and materials used?
Noble Panacea is very attentive to sustainability; over 100 natural or naturally derived ingredients are used, and formulations do not include silicone derivatives, mineral oils, or non-green preservatives. Even the OSMV technology follows a Green Chemistry approach, manufactured according to a renewable loop that produces no waste. Furthermore, the packaging, aside from its unique and sophisticated design, is made of starch with easily removable metal inserts, allowing for infinite refills. The Active Doses themselves, containing the formulation, are also 100% recyclable.
How does the use of Active Daily Doses contribute to maximizing the potency of the formula?
Thanks to Active Daily Doses, the cosmetic formulation is protected from degradation, ensuring the effectiveness of all ingredients included, as oxidation would render them inactive. Additionally, Active Daily Doses are practical for carrying anywhere and extremely hygienic as they are not contaminated with fingers during application. Another aspect not to be underestimated is that they contain the right amount for application on the face and neck, thus avoiding the risk of either excessive or insufficient product application.
Noble Panacea is currently available in Italy on LuisaViaRoma.com and on noblepanacea.eu. How would you describe the response and interest of the Italian audience towards the brand?
The cosmetics sector is constantly evolving: interest in Noble Panacea undoubtedly depends on the effectiveness and quality of their formulations, as well as their commitment to sustainability. Indeed, the cosmetic market is vast, and choosing the right product can be complex. It becomes important to rely on a brand that bases its formulas on science, as is the case with Noble Panacea, founded by Sir Fraser Stoddart (Nobel Prize in Chemistry). The delivery of select ingredients through OSMV technology allows for truly tangible results on the skin!
What recent or emerging trends have you observed in the field of dermatology and skincare?
In recent years, the field of dermatology, and consequently cosmetics, has seen significant positive developments. There is also increased awareness of the importance of prevention, exemplified by attention to skin imperfections. With the aid of artificial intelligence, there is a growing trend towards personalized treatments based on precise skin types and specific skin needs. After the multi-step skincare trend based on the Korean philosophy, today the concept of Skin Minimalist is developing, advocating for the use of few selected cosmetics that are also environmentally friendly.
Three universal tips for maintaining healthy and cared-for skin?
A good skincare routine must be tailored to the skin’s needs to achieve desired results. The first tip is to use the correct facial cleanser because during cleansing, it is important to preserve the skin barrier and maintain proper skin physiology. Furthermore, inadequately cleansed skin prevents subsequent skincare steps from working to their full potential. The second tip concerns applying sunscreen in the morning when outdoors: UV rays are harmful to the skin, causing wrinkles, spots, and dehydration. The third tip is to pay attention to one’s lifestyle; it is well established that all factors falling under the so-called “Exposome“, such as smoking, diet, stress, pollution, incorrect skincare, and temperature changes, accelerate skin aging.

What are some common skincare myths you would like to kill?
Foremost is the false belief that skin becomes accustomed to cosmetics: in reality, the skin, being an organ, is continually evolving and is subject to internal and external stresses every day. Therefore, throughout life, it has different needs, and it is necessary to listen to understand what “it” needs. Another very common myth is that chemical exfoliants are dangerous and harmful to the skin, unlike physical exfoliants that act by rubbing the epidermis. All exfoliants are chemical because any cosmetic ingredient is chemical: the difference in terminology is based on their mechanism of action. Chemical exfoliants, on the contrary, are a valuable aid to the skin to promote regeneration and stimulation for a healthy and beautiful appearance without causing skin irritation due to rubbing.
For those new to skincare, what basic advice would you give?
Certainly, I recommend starting with a simple yet targeted skincare routine, especially steps that should never be missed are: cleanser, face cream, and sunscreen. The cleanser must be gentle and respect the skin’s characteristics, thoroughly cleaning without leaving the sensation of dehydrated skin. The face cream should be chosen according to needs (hydrating, illuminating, anti-spot, purifying, etc.) and should have a pleasant texture because the sensory aspect is also important for skin well-being. Sunscreen, finally, serves to protect the skin not only from the surface damage of UV rays but also from damage to the dermis, which, if damaged, leads to skin sagging and the development of melanomas.
In all cases, it is important to include each cosmetic in the skincare protocol to work synergistically and allow for the achievement of set objectives!
What are some technologies or innovative treatments in dermatology that you consider promising for the future?
What to expect in the coming years? The trends are many, but two key points are attention to sustainability, to address the issue of climate change, and the so-called Skin Longevity, namely attention to processes that accelerate skin aging. Thanks to new technologies, increasingly targeted and biomimetic ingredients (i.e., similar to skin structures) are being studied, capable of performing multiple functions for firmer and healthier skin. Another promising approach concerns attention to and rebalancing of the skin microbiota, i.e., the population of microorganisms that “inhabit” our skin. More and more scientific studies are demonstrating that an imbalance (dysbiosis) causes skin problems such as dermatitis, acne, and rosacea.

What does feeling comfortable in your own skin mean to you?
The skin is the true calling card that makes us feel comfortable and confident when it appears healthy, even, and luminous. Conversely, skin manifestations like acne, spots, and redness can have a significant psychological impact. That’s why cosmetics represent a valuable aid both functionally, useful for treating imperfections, and sensorially, activating pleasure and well-being areas. Perfect skin doesn’t exist, and it’s important to emphasize that, but it’s equally crucial to remember that it’s the only “garment” we wear for our entire lives, and daily it defends us from the outside world: that’s why we have the task of taking care of it and respecting it!
