Biologique Recherche: The New Progeskin Serum
The latest innovation from Biologique Recherche is Progeskin, a cellular longevity serum whose formula acts on the synthesis of key proteins involved in skin aging, progerin, and klotho protein, focusing on the mechanism of skin aging and one of its main causes, cellular senescence.
Cellular senescence is an irreversible state where cells stop dividing but remain metabolically active. Accumulating, these cells create a pro-inflammatory environment, favoring the onset and progression of various age-related diseases and visible signs of aging on the skin, such as thinning epidermis, flattening of the dermo-epidermal junction, wrinkles, loss of elasticity, and increased pigmentation.
The Biologique Recherche R&D team has studied the key mechanisms of the two proteins involved in the complex process of skin senescence: Progerin, an abnormal protein, and Klotho protein, essential for proper cell function, creating a serum that challenges visible signs of skin aging with a double action thanks to two powerful carriers: Progescence and Pro-KL.

Yves Rocher: Sustainability Initiatives
In June, to coincide with World Environment and Oceans Days, Yves Rocher promotes initiatives to support the environment. On Wednesday, June 19, Yves Rocher Italy, a Benefit Corporation since 2021, organized a cleanup of the Naviglio Grande in Milan in collaboration with Angeli del Bello, a non-partisan, non-profit association founded in 2022 by Simone Lunghi, founder of Angeli dei Navigli, Roberto de Micco, president of Extrapulita, and Alessandra Zecchi, coordinator of Angeli del Bello in Florence.
Over 50 people participated in this initiative, actively cleaning the area through a walking route and then “in the water” aboard special Dragon Boat canoes. Over 90kg of trash was collected and handed over to AMSA for recycling. The creative studio and clothing brand Linea Daria partnered with Yves Rocher, developing the impactful slogan “WITHOUT EARTH, I CAN’T BREATHE” to convey a strong message encouraging greater care and attention towards our planet.
This project aligns with the brand’s commitment to revealing, protecting, and transmitting the power of plants. Yves Rocher’s products are based on 100% plant-derived active ingredients with proven efficacy, over 95% natural ingredients, and eco-designed packaging. The collaboration with Plastic For Change, an association developing recycling solutions for waste and ocean-bound plastic, helps improve social conditions in communities reliant on waste collection and schooling conditions for children. From this collaboration, 120 tons of plastic certified GRS were collected along the Indian coast and used in creating Yves Rocher’s eco-refills for a new line of recyclable shower gels, composed of 90% coastal-recovered plastic. The bottle is made of 77% OBP-certified plastic. Yves Rocher seeks to reverse the trend with the “Refill Revolution” launched on June 14 in stores, online, and through Beauty Consultants.

Vichy Laboratoires Announces Its New Brand Cause Hormonall: Together for Women’s Wellbeing
Vichy Laboratoires announces its new Brand Cause: “Hormonall: Together for Women’s Wellbeing.”
Co-developed with the British philanthropic organization Wellbeing of Women, this program aims to break the status quo and change how hormonal changes are experienced. It aims to help women perform at their best throughout different life stages, from puberty with the onset of menstruation to postpartum and menopause, by providing girls, women, and those interested with reliable sources of information.
In addition to conducting a significant epidemiological study on the impact of hormonal variations on the skin and scalp, Vichy Laboratoires has also expanded its research with specific questions related to psychophysical wellbeing, placing it at the center of its Brand Cause. Seventy percent of women state that they do not know how to manage hormonal variations and whom to talk to (source: Kantar Study 2022 – Total sample of 2086 women).
A quantitative study by KANTAR on over 2,000 women from various countries internationally highlighted that two out of three women face the impact of hormonal changes on their psychophysical wellbeing, feeling misunderstood, unsupported, and uninformed. Women report these feelings regardless of age, background, or country.
There are thus two causes of misunderstanding and loneliness related to hormonal wellbeing. Firstly, the lack of dialogue, fueled by taboos, preconceptions, and shame, discourages women from sharing their concerns or seeking support. The second reason is the lack of education. Information on hormonal changes is insufficient, and the few available resources are sometimes misleading or scattered, generating even more confusion and fear.
Vichy and Wellbeing of Women have appointed their main international ambassadors as allies in the fight to support the dialogue on women’s hormonal wellbeing: Jessica Miao, entrepreneur and co-founder of Apricotton (a teen bra brand); Leslye Granaud, podcaster and content creator specializing in premenstrual syndrome; Clémentine Galey, organizer of the maternity podcast “Bliss Stories,” and Shirley Weir, author and menopause expert. Each of these women will honestly share their experiences with hormonal changes to expand knowledge about the impact of hormones on women’s psychophysical wellbeing. The Hormonall website will also provide an online community where women can share their experiences. Alongside the international ambassadors, there will also be local testimonials: Martina Colombari, project ambassador; Sally Saccarola, founder of the social community Account Ciclo and author of the book “Il Club del Ciclo”; Carlotta Manni, creator and mother who talks about honest motherhood and author of the book “Mi sei caduta dentro,” which recounts her experience in seeking motherhood; finally, Isabella Marconi and Marilli Amari, known on social media as “Le magnifiche perennials,” promoting a pro-aging message.
With the support of experts from Wellbeing of Women, healthcare specialists, gynecologists, and researchers, Vichy and the philanthropic organization have co-developed four training modules dedicated to four main stages of women’s lives: puberty, menstrual cycle, postpartum, and menopause. The training aims to explain the scientific process behind hormonal changes at each life stage, the impacts these can generate, how to improve wellbeing, and how to confidently discuss one’s hormonal experiences.
In Italy, Vichy will be supported by Fondazione Onda, the National Observatory on Women’s Wellbeing, and a medical board, including Dr. Rossella Nappi, gynecologist, endocrinologist, and sexologist, professor of gynecology and obstetrics at the University of Pavia, and president of the international menopause society, and Dr. Ketty Peris, dermatologist and Director of the Dermatology Department at Gemelli Hospital. Finally, representing the category of pharmacists, the board will also include the owner of Caruso Pharmacy in Syracuse, Rosanna Magnano.
To access the training modules and join the community dedicated to women’s wellbeing, visit hormonall.com. Additionally, on June 19, it will be possible to participate in the Open Day of Fondazione Onda dedicated to female health prevention, booking free visits at the hospitals in the Bollini Rosa network participating in the initiative.
