Luisa Beccaria Beauty: The Backstage of a Dream

The sun bathes the gardens of the Villa Reale, in Milan, for a last glimpse of summer.
The season of light, of innocence, seems to smile over Luisa Beccaria’s collection. An extremely young girl, eternalized as she puts on her mother’s lipstick for the first time.

A fragile creature caught as she crosses that delicate border between childhood and adulthood. 
A girl that dresses up like a grown-up, for the first time, and smudged her red lipstick with her inexperienced, trembling hand. Yet, the lipstick looks like it’s a bit worn-out, perhaps chewed off the lips carelessly, as if the girl has been wandering around, showing off her brand-new red mouth.

A theme infused with romantic, delicate youth, which has inspired both the collection and the makeup. The balance between fashion and beauty is clear just looking at the models: as they smile their red, blurred smiles in the garden, dressed all in silk and light floral embroideries.

Also the hairstyle, by Beautick, is romantic and delicate.
Curled locks pinned on the back of the head with butterfly-shaped silver pins: knobs of French inspiration, a much more modest mirror of the hairstyles of the 18th Century, so loved by the European courts.
One lone lock is left free to fall over the girls’ shoulder, casually but coquettishly.

A young dreamer, a heroine of another time. A girl that embodies the very concept of innocence in a world of soft fabrics, tiptoed steps taken through a meadow of petals and imperfect make-ups.

Skincare

The skin was massage and prepared with the Strobe Cream in Peachlite. The lips were well conditioned with the MAC Lip Conditioner, for a soft and natural look.

Foundation

The skin was perfected with Studio Waterweight Foundation, perfect for a fresh look thanks to its light texture. Afterword, the small imperfections were hidden, either with the Studio Waterweight Concealer or the PRO Conceal and Correct Palette.

The centre of the face was softly mattified with the Studio Fix Powder, that makes the skin opaque. Over the cheekbones and all over the temples was buffed the Mixing Medium Shine, giving a shiny look with its wax-based formula.

Eyes

The eyes were fresh, glossy and white shiny, and the gaze is made light by the absence of mascara or dark tones. Using a fluffy brush over the lid, it was applied a Liquidlast Liner in Misty Me, keeping a special eye to the final effect of softness.
The lashes were curled.

Lips

The lips were the focal point of the collection, the bridge between youth and adulthood. Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Dance With Me, a sweet peony, was applied.  To give the appearance of a blurred and somehow messy look, the lipstick was applied with a brush instead of the applicator and, after, corrected with a tiny bit of concealer.
