The Italian Rêve – 5 Beauty Minutes With Sophietta: Red Carpet in Venice

Our new 5 Beauty Minutes With Sophietta, Venice Film Festival Edition, in which we followed her in her (stunning) preparation for the red carpet. A black dress made of lace and transparencies by Atelier Emé, a glowing makeup that focuses on the eyes and a low bun that mixes shiny textures with the opaquer ones. A look that fascinated us and we followed from the first to the last moment.

Skincare Routine

My skincare routine includes a micellar milk from the LIFE line of Dior (perfect for sensitive skin like mine), Quick Fix Mist by Shiseido, an anti-stress spray that gives the glow to my face instantly and the moisturizing cream of the LIFE line of Dior.

Base

For the base, the foundation Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating in shade 2.4 was applied. It is a moisturizing foundation perfect for the red carpet or in general for important events given its long wear, modular coverage and, despite the anti-shine effect, the foundation gives a satin finish to brighten the skin.

As a concealer, it was applied the Skin 24 Hours in the shade warm on the eye area or over small imperfections. This is also a long-lasting and waterproof formula, which is still moisturizing, avoiding a too heavy effect.

To really make the eye bright (and not only), the Photo Op Under Eye Brightener was applied, a primer highlighter that smoothes and prepares the application of make-up and that awakens and instantly illuminates the skin.

Eyes

After applying the Photo Finish Lid Primer in medium, the protagonist was the eye palette Cover Shot Petal Metal, a palette of eyeshadows rich of warm gold and pink pigments. Perfect for a reddish look that underlines Sophietta’s green eyes.

To define the lower and upper rhyme, the Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner in the shade Penny Lane was used, a bronze color to define the look. To prepare the eyelashes for a very red carpet look, it was first used the Photo Finish Lash Primer which can make every mascara on the top more resistant and elastic, avoiding smudges. The mascara was then the Full Exposure, to get as much volume as possible.

Eyebrows

To define and make an intense eyebrow, the Brow Tech Shaping Powder was used in Brunette, an innovative powder product. The applicator is tapped on the eyebrows to give fullness and volume, where desired. The eyebrows were then fixed with a gel.

Cheeks

For the cheeks, Sophietta used a palette, the L.A. Lights Blush & Highlighter Palette in Pacific Coast Pink, which collects shades of pink that can perfectly balance the rest of makeup.

To obtain a light contouring, the choice was the Step-by-Step Contour Kit, on the cheekbones, to highlight them.

The L.A Lights Blendable Lip & Cheek Color stick in the lightest shade (Hollywood and Highlight) was used as highlighter. It gave the right highlighting tone to Sophietta’s skin, going to hit the highest parts of the cheekbones and Cupid’s bow.

Lips

Since Sophietta wanted to leave the focus on the eyes, she opted for nude lips with the lipstick Be Legendary in Back Talk, a very moisturizing rosy nude.

Hair

She styled her hair in a low bun and fixed with Framesi’s 24h Wet Get, which makes a very shiny and wet finish, but not sticky. To contrast the glossy finish, the bun has a more matte texture. Everything was locked in with a silk-effect polishing spray (Framesi's Final Shine Spray).

Never Again

My beauty fail was a wrong contouring on my face, but especially when I tried to make my nose smaller and I realized in pictures that it was very strange (to be nice).

Favorite Cinema Beauty Look

I love very much the simple and clean look of Sienna Miller in her daily life, and if I dare to take inspiration from her interpretations, I go for the one of Edie Sedgwick in “Factory Girl.”
