Christmas parties are approaching and so are Christmas collections by makeup and beauty brands… there are so many, and sometimes it’s difficult to navigate in this “chaos” of beautiful shimmering eyeshadows, golden highlighters and lipsticks, glitter included.

But we are sure of one thing: we had to make a choice. So, starting from this week, we decided to show you our favorite collections and how we use them for our party looks, to give you (we hope) a little bit of beauty inspiration. You will be party-ready, knowing already perfectly what you will wear (at least on the face).

For the first episode of this long series, we decided to show you the products of the new Dior collection, Midnight Wish.

– THE GOLDEN STAR –

If you love the color gold and all its shades, you can’t live without this palette that mixes bronze, white, brown with a purple touch, light brown and a gold, the one in the center, that can be THE topper for every look.

For the eyes, we opted for a fresher and modern look, far from the typical golden and brown smokey eyes. We applied on the whole eyelid a mix between the bronze and the lighter brown, going up to the inner corner because, given all its luminescent particles, it doesn’t make the eye heavy. The “topper” eyeshadow in the center was then applied slightly to the center and then up to the eyebrows, to give brightness and to fade the outer corner with a little glitter. It might seem like a risky move but this eyeshadow, in particular, is really special and can be used in different ways (even all over alone to give a crazy glittery effect).

On the lower outer rim, on the other hand, we decided to apply the darker eyeshadow: a brown with a hint of purple that immediately made the look more modern. We decided to do the smokey part in the lower part of the eye and leave the upper one bright and full of nuances so that the look is defined but open.

On the lips, we have applied a beautiful bright red that screams “Party!” from every shade: A super-velvety formula of the Diorific 760 Triomphante, a raspberry red.

LISTEN TO THE LIPSTICK

– THE MESSY SILVER –

If instead, you are more for a rock look, with bright but cool shades, the Moonlight palette is really perfect. A mix of cold mauve pink, ice silver, cold brown, dark gray and a beautiful pure silver.

We made a mix of two eyeshadows on the whole upper eyelid: the cold brown with the silver that we then faded out with the darker gray but without creating the typical smokey effect, just a hint, then we make it more intense in the lower part to lengthen the look. In the inner corner and a little in the center of the eye, we have instead applied the silver ice, a beautiful light that allows you not to make the look too heavy.
