“Styling continually embodies my soul and draws out my passion for fashion.” That’s what styling means to Steven Doan, fashion stylist who has worked with Jon Kortajarena, Nicholas Hoult and Poppy Delevigne, and who told us about his love for the ’70s inspirations and the logo trend!
Nice to Meet you, I am: Steven Doan, fashion stylist.

Trend: I love the ’70s so much! And the logo trend is going on. It is chick and cool.

#Inspo: The ’70s trend was born to embrace individuality I believe. In the early 1970s, Vogue proclaimed, “There are no rules in the fashion game now” due to overproduction flooding the market with cheap synthetic clothing. Common items included mini skirts, bell-bottoms popularized by hippies, vintage clothing from the 1950s and earlier, and the androgynous glam rock and disco styles that introduced platform shoes, bright colors, glitter, and satin. The reason I chose ’70s trend is that I was influenced by the music of the decade such as the Beatles, Queen, the Rolling Stones…
As for the current trend, logos are going strong from brands such as Versace, Chanel, Dior and Dolce and Gabbana.
Styling Tip: Always well prepared before the shoots and have a lot of options.
My Favorite Way to Wear it: A solid navy double-breasted blazer/coat.
Trendspotting: The trend has been super popular among pop stars as well as top models like Gigi Hadid, Hailey Baldwin. And I think everyone can easily embrace this trend during the upcoming summer.
