Beauty News February – Loop x Ren Skincare
We officially open the second month of 2019 with a piece of news that really values the environment, respecting it and bringing a real change. Loop, the first online platform that is set to open this spring and allows to go shopping minimizing the use of plastic and waste, joins the skincare brand Ren for a unique service. Six of the brand’s best sellers will be sold through Loops with a refillable packaging: the product is delivered in a tote bag and, once finished, all you have to do is merely to put the empty package in the tote bag and reserve a collection. Subsequently, the packaging will be cleaned, disinfected and returned with a refill of the chosen skincare product, or another consumer will use it if you do not wish to continue using it. Therefore, Loop and Ren propose a new way of living skincare: a cycle that will allow Ren, according to the statistics and the objectives set by the Company, to go waste-free by 2021.
Beauty News February – Kylie Jenner and Kylashes
Kylie Jenner recently announced on Twitter and Instagram that there was news for her makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics. The star has been posting close-ups and tweeting, ” I have something really exciting I get to share soon with you guys! I’ve been cooking this up for a while I can’t wait to share my new project already.” What could she possibly mean? Well, at the end of 2018 Kylie successfully deposited the trademark for Kylash, a line of mascara, products for eyelashes, extensions for eyelashes and falsies that should soon expand the Kylie Cosmetic’s family. After the rumor (which spread on the Internet last October) of the upcoming launch of the Kylie Skin skincare line, the release date for Kylashes is still TBA.
Beauty News February – Benefit and Kate Grant
After her victory at the Teen Ultimate Beauty Of The World pageant and campaigning for Debenhams, it’s time for a new success for twenty-year-old model Kate Grant: after posting a photo with a Benefit eyeliner, which received a lot of love on Instagram, Grant was contacted by the brand to become an ambassador.
Kate, an aspiring model and already known in the world of fashion thanks to her relentlessly positive messages, is the first model with Down syndrome to become the face of a makeup brand. This success and the first appearance of Kate in the new Roller Liner campaign inspired a positive reaction all-over Instagram. In the meantime, Benefit released the first sneak peeks of the campaign, with the caption, “Kate is a true Benebabe from Tyrone, who recently modeled for our Roller Liner campaign!”
Beauty News February – Gucci x Alberto Morillas
The collaboration between Alberto Morillas and Gucci gave life to a marvelous collection of 14 scents, all designed to be either used alone or layered in a range of 48 possible combinations. The line comes with a refined, almost magical spirit: Morillas declared that each fragrance is based on a hero ingredient, ranging from rose to violet, up to amber or wood, and that a fragment of memory inspires each particular scent.
“Each fragrance is linked to a memory. A walk in the forest, a tour in the center of Rome when the mimosa bloom, the purity of the rose just before its harvest in the field.” These are the memories of Morillas, who carries explaining the name of the collection, “Just play with the scent to find your favorite, as an alchemist would work to find the gold formula.”
The packaging stands out for its refined beauty and for the aesthetic that recalls a garden, with a strong vintage inspiration – the beautiful design of the decorated bottles, in fact, reminds of the classic style of the Italian pharmacy tradition — combining delicate colors and draws to golden details.

Beauty News February – Tom Ford Face 2019
Inspired by Ford’s architecture studies, Tom Ford proposes a collection based on the philosophy that makeup can sculpt and define the face, thanks to chiseled chiaroscuro effects and lines that seek symmetrical perfection. This way, we may create a “better version of ourselves” with simplicity and effectiveness. The first step is to achieve a perfect and bright base. For this Tom Ford creates an illuminating primer, which is then combined with a long-lasting foundation enriched with a light texture but and medium-to-full coverage (Traceless Perfecting Foundation, also available in the stick variation). To sculpt the features thanks to contrast, Tom Ford proposes new shades of the Shade and Illuminate palette: a creamy duo designed to enhance the bone-structure of the face, highlighting the cheekbones and eyebrows while contouring the temples, the lower part of the cheeks and the jaw, transforming and improving your features with a natural feeling.
Beauty News February – Clinique Even Better Refresh
With the beginning of the new year, Clinique presents a new formula for its foundation, which not only helps to cover redness and fine lines but also to fight breakouts and uneven skin day after day. Thanks to the active and beneficial ingredients, including the peptides Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Acetyl Hexapeptide-12, in only ten days the skin results improved, more radiant, while in 4 weeks of usage it appears considerably more even hydrated. The foundation, available in 27 nuances, has a full-coverage and a consistent staying power, thanks to the formula that moisturizes the skin without making it oily and the hyaluronic acid that acts on fine lines and wrinkles. A day-to-day helper that combines skincare and makeup and which can make the difference – especially for dry, oily or mixed skin and when your face needs protection from cold and pollution.
