Milan. On a sunny October morning, the rendez-vous takes place in one of the prettiest and most chaotic places in the city: Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Here we find a space for peace, tradition, and modernity that always fills our eyes with colors, elegance, and creativity.

We are in the Chanel Beauty boutique, a space for discovery.

And our first discovery is the new Les 4 Ombres Tweed collection, which aims at celebrating the fabric that Mademoiselle Coco made famous and essential in everyone’s closet. Just like the revolution streaming in Coco’s veins, unique colors and textures stream among the products of the new collection. And right here, tradition and modernity cross paths.

The numerous fibers of tweed, in the makeup palettes, become the encounter and the entanglement of pigments, giving life to four luminous palettes with which we can create both an everyday look or way more intense and graphic looks.

Les 4 Ombres Tweed

We’re talking about the Tweed Fauve palettes (four eyeshadows recalling the nuances of fire and earth), Tweed Cuivré (recalling the richness and shine of the most precious jewels), Tweed Puorpre (where sweet pink shades meet the more intense shades of purple), Tweed Brun et Rose (a combination of nature-like colors, from brown to beige).

Creative freedom, these are the two keywords with which we approach makeup.
Such a simple, yet important ritual, a loving gesture for ourselves, especially when dictated by creative freedom.

Its trigger here is makeup artist Martina D’Andrea, who creates two different types of makeup looks inspired by the Tweed Fauve and Tweed Cuivré palettes.

However, just like a painter who’s about to set their colors free on the canvas, we can’t but start off with skincare and for a while now, we have been testing Chanel N°1 skincare line, a new generation collection where the Red Camelia extract gives off its revitalizing properties, acting on the N°1 phase of the skin aging process in order to prevent and correct the signs of the times.

Beauty before time.

A generous application of N°1 De Chanel Revitalizing Cream which, with a velvety texture, smooths out wrinkles, replenishes skin, and gives a feeling of comfort, prepping the skin for makeup.
Right at this point, N°1 Revitalizing Foundation with Red Camelia is applied: besides giving the skin texture a homogeneous look and naturally brightening the complexion, it manages to maintain the skin hydrated and protected from external stress factors.

Softness and boldness.

For an everyday look, we use the Tweed Fauve palette, where a vivid brick-orange shade will outline the eye look, creating soft shadows, while the gold and amber tones will brighten the center and the inner corner of the eyelid.

A soft look which, though, uses bolder earthy shades to express itself.

To complete the eye look, another new addition can’t be missing, revealing with its lacquered black elegance and gold details a new gestural expressiveness: we’re talking about the Noir Allure mascara.

With a click, reminding us of the Ruge Allure lipsticks, the silhouette of this mascara shows up and becomes the perfect accessory for our eyelids with a combination between aesthetic, functionality, and performance.

Speaking of which, Chanel has a surprise for us: in order to recreate the intensity of this new, super-effective black shade, a touch of red has been added. The nuance is imperceptible, but it makes a difference, making black even more intense and mysterious. The brush will take care of the volume, length, definition, and curl of the eyelashes, while its no-transfer formula is enriched by natural waxes to preserve the health of our lashes, alongside provitamin B5 to strengthen them with each application.

Noir Allure Mascara

A mascara that takes care of our touch, sight, and also hearing, in typical Chanel style, which leaves nothing to fate.

Anyhow, for a complete look, we need one last touch: lipstick. How many times does it happen that the very last step of our makeup turns into the key part of a whole look? And the last touch is almost always lipstick.

For this autumn, the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio has analyzed the more natural shades, drawing inspiration from the Ultra Le Teint Fluide foundation, to create an unprecedented ton-sur-ton look. This is how the Les Accords de Chanel collection is born.

Therefore, lips and nails dress up with a palette of versatile colors starting from one element only: us and our shades.

The undertones we’re basing on for our choice are two: the golden one for a luminous effect, or the pinkish one to give the whole face a fresh look. In this way, Chanel once again aims at respecting and celebrating everyone’s diversity. The Rouge Allure lipsticks, between contrasts and combinations, have a soft texture, are bright, long-lasting, and melt on the lips to create a second-skin effect.

The shade of our choice is 206 Illusion, a warm beige that embraces the lips.

LES ACCORDS DE CHANEL

Our look could be perfect as it is now; however, for a more intense version, ideal for the day as well as a bright night look, we used Tweed Cuivré, the palette expressing all its golden shades. The darker brown defines the look, always with a soft touch, elongating it and making it more intense, also thanks to the brightness of the golden eyeshadow which contrasts the brown shade and is applied on the inner part of the eyelid.

To finish the look, we use the Stylo Yeux Waterproof eyeliner in the Cuivre Doré shade, a copper red that is applied in the lower line of the eye, both the inner and outer line, not only to define it but also, thanks to its many facets, to brighten up the eyes.

A makeup look that’s a statement of elegance, versatility, and uniqueness.
