The J. Mendel Spring 2018 show in New York City is totally inspired from Game of Thrones. We are sure that only a few people didn’t notice it! Can we start with the furry coat? So inspired by the Daenerys fur coat that the Queen is wearing when she saves Jon Snow and companions from the White Walkers.
In a few words, this collection is flawless. In a Fashion Week that has shown, so far, the sporty and chic but comfy style of New York, J. Mendel stands out to bring a fresh-medieval-game of throne-so stylish version of the Big Apple.
We have tried a game, giving to each character the dress she would wear in the show. Can you blame us?

We start with the Queen, and look at that J. Mendel coat, isn’t that so similar (and beautiful)?
Another dragon-friendly dress is the pink one: with a tight bustier and sleeves that resemble her armor, a little bit more chic tho.
Let’s now speak about this flawless aquamarine cape dress, we dream of her wearing it during her coronation…maybe?
And if Daenerys would ever prefer to opt for a mini dress, we are pretty sure she would love this one.

We are 100% sure that Melisandre would have loved those two dresses by J. Mendel: red as fire, sexy and…matched to some red fur. Her signature style.

MISSANDEI

Stylistically speaking we know two things about Missandei: she loves clean, long and tight at the waist dresses and, she loves the color blue. So we think those two dresses could be a perfect option for the strong and beautiful woman she is.

SANSA

During the last season Sansa is a darker and stronger character, and even her dresses mirror her changes. Indeed we see her very often while wearing voluminous and black dresses.
And, in every scene, she always wears a big fur cape, to protect herself from the cold and freezy winter.
And, if we could ever see her in a evening dress, this one (with little tufts, of course) could be the perfect one:
…But, if we only can look back at the time when Sansa wore splendid colorful, voluminous dresses, we think that this one, matching her hair, could be her first choice.

Arya is a very tough one: we never see her in a feminine dress, it’s not her style. But if she could ever chose between J Mendel new collection we are sure she would choose between some grey with shining silver details (like an armor), short (to be ready and comfortable to fight) and, for the warm touch, she would definitely use one of these shrugs.
