The collection, designed by Antonio d’Anna (under the creative direction of Zhu Chongyun), is referred to a young, determined and sophisticated woman. A collection characterized by the contrast between delicacy, smoothness and essential of the line and sculptural-rigid attitude of kimono and masculine-suits manufacture.
A minimal and geometric style which leaves free room for colors and prints inspired by an exotic safari. In fact, one of Antonio d’Anna source of inspiration for this collection is animal statuary according to archaic artistic current.
This kind of inspiration is been defined “The Krizia’s Zoo”, which refers to “Former Fauna Fantasma”, a private collection of the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. This theme, visually/graphically appears for example in some prints depicting a roaring lion’s head dating from IX-VIII century BC during the Assyrian-Babylonian age. Other clothes catch their attention with hand-made draws in A-line skirts, crêpe dresses, soft chemise and jersey items.
The cloth structure plays with softness and three-dimensionality: oversize and wrap items, bell sleeves and large trousers make long and softer lines, whereas structured kimono and masculine suits in Japanese textile show a sophisticated and androgyny womanhood.
The pleated technique (distinctive Maison’s mark) is used and it reveals in transparencies, in skirts, and in long dresses. Finally, the “unfinished technique” brings out a sense of incompleteness as shown in geometric laser cuts and in deep back neckline which cut asymmetric drape items.
An elegant, young, sophisticated, energetic and minimal collection, which lets star colors and prints be the protagonist, setting aside a morbid research of details. From the most delicate nuances such as white, blush pink and sandy to the most vivid colors such as green, red and purple.
Softly textile and dynamic silhouette move in runway thanks to leader, satin, plissé and organza fabrics, making trompe-l’oeil transparencies.
A collection which rediscovers the passion for color, for the geometry and for the arts through a reinterpretation of Japanese style and masculine suit.
