Miu Miu Select took place in Milan, on the occasion of Fashion Week: this Miu Miu event was put up to celebrate the strength and unmistakable style of this brand through testimonials who’ve become an active part of the project. How so? By selecting ready-to-wear pieces, bags, shoes, jewelry and sunglasses from last season, giving life to a highly personalized and expressive mini-collection.
The project, launched by Miu Miu in 2019, has involved in the past these friends of the brand: the model and stylist Georgia May Jagger (London), the actress, director, model and stylist Chloë Sevigny (New York), the stylist and influencer Veronika Heilbrunner (Moscow), the actress and model Poppy Delevingne (Milan), the model and television presenter Alexa Chung (Tokyo), the model Jessica Kahawaty (Dubai), singer and teen idol Yang Chaoyue (Shanghai), singer Clara Luciani (Paris), Lebanese singer and visual artist Dana Hourani (Dubai) and influencer Yoyo Cao (Singapore).
Landed in the Milan store, between branded cocktails and a very friendly atmosphere, Miu Miu Select relied this time on the model, actress and activist Adwoa Aboah to create a wardrobe that reflects her style, personality and coolness. Adwoa Aboah, in recent years, has particularly distinguished herself for her social activism: between feminism and philanthropy, she is a real icon of change, where ideals are more important than appearances, an important reminder that invites us to remember how beauty is different, inclusive and unique. She is committed to bringing to light topics such as addiction and depression, creating a community full of values and inspirations, always in the name of honesty and making mental health a priority, a topic that is still (unfortunately) too little talked about but that is common for us all.
As for the previous editions of the Miu Miu Select project, also in Milan, a part of the Miu Miu store was dedicated to the wardrobe selected by Adwoa Aboah: all the looks are presented with a special personalized tag, signed by Adwoa herself and sewn by hand. All the products indicated by Adwoa Aboah are available for a limited time, in-store and on MiuMiu.com, with a Miu Miu Select packaging made specifically for the occasion.
