The Italian Rêve – The Beauty Filters: a Glam MakeUp

If you are a true fan of the world of beauty and makeup you can’t but know Charlotte Tilbury, and especially her products. What we have created for you today is not a summer makeup or a beauty look which can be tied with a particular period of the year: it’s a universal makeup that doesn’t hide (in fact we haven’t even used the concealer, we rather create lights), a makeup that enhances the natural colors of your face and that, as Charlotte always says, will make you feel ready for a red carpet.

Beauty is an important part of our life, not because it’s essential but because it allows us to look after ourselves and, after a few years of exploring the world of makeup, we have fallen in love with the effect and the quality of Charlotte’s products (#notsponsored), which always try to highlight what are the most beautiful traits and shades of each one of us.

– SKINCARE –

To achieve a very good makeup look, a good skin preparation cannot be forgotten: we used the “Magic Cream” for face and eyes. A super rich moisturizing cream that gives hydration and that can act as a primer for all the makeup. We know that it looks (and it is) a rich cream, perhaps too much. But if you leave it long enough for the skin to absorb, the makeup will not be ruined by it, indeed it would be the main help to obtain a beautiful canvas.

– THE BASE –

Let’s move on to the makeup base: we wanted to proceed with a super light base, with a buildable coverage and with a very luminous effect (the Light Wonder Foundation in 4 Fair). We applied it with a brush so to make the foundation melt into the skin in a better way and to maintain a good pigmentation, which could be lost with the hand application.

Now on to one of the steps we prefer: the Hollywood Flawless Filter highlighter. It’s a very special product: it brightens the whole complexion, but it doesn’t have glitter or metallic parts, making the skin really bright. We have also applied it under the eyes, on the dark circles’ area, to correct them with some light.

We then applied a light contouring, still in cream. The cheeks were defined by a double blush, the Pretty Youth Glow Filter Blush in Pretty Fresh, applied on the whole cheekbone, up to the temple and mixed the super bright and pigmented pink with the lighter and pale one, so to make even the cheeks look highlighted and fresh.

With all this “light” we couldn’t help but add a little powder, just to fix and to make some areas of the face opaque (the Flawless Finish Powder Airbrush in Medium): under the eyes, on the chin, around the nose and the center of the forehead, being careful to leave everything else super bright.

– THE EYES –

For the eyes, we used the cream eyeshadows “Eyes to mesmerize” and we created a mix with a gold and a brown one with reddish undertones. Following this undertone, we also used the Dolce Vita palette and applied the red in the outer part, and applied some coppery glitter (always from the palette) on the central part of the eye. Then, mascara, mascara and mascara.

– THE LIPS –

The last step? The lips. We didn’t define them with a pencil or a too intense lipstick because we wanted to leave the focus on the intensity of the eyes. We then created a mix of the two blush colors to create an ombré and opaque effect, almost to contrast the rest of the face. And the look can be done and ready here.

But then we decided to apply also the lipgloss, a bath of rosy collagen that makes the lips more voluminous to the eye, and that can define, with a beautiful game of shadows and lights.
