The eyes of the beauty and fashion world are fixed on Los Angeles, these days, where is hosted the craziest and most fashionable festival of the year. All it takes is a quick look at the Coachella to realize its nature of gargantuan carousel, like an edgy outdoor catwalk of all things fashion. A big, big party to salute summer and good music. In particular, our attention was caught by the popping blue eyeshadow of actress Rowan Blanchard, created by celebrity makeup artist Nathaniel Dezan. After having the pleasure to meeting Nathaniel personally in Los Angeles, and knowing first-handed how amazing and creative he is, we wanted to ask him something more about this beautiful blue eye makeup and to shed a light on some of the secrets for the “perfect Coachella look” (if one even exists…or, maybe, the secret is just being fearlessly true to ourselves!).
Follow this step-by-step Rowan Blanchard Coachella makeup, and save it for the rest of the summer: we’re positive that we’re going to see more of this mesmerizing blue eyeshadow soon!

The Inspiration for the Look
Rowan Blanchard is a very inspirational, intelligent young lady. She is a huge advocate and supports all the right movements in today’s world (a world where it is important and necessary for women to have a voice). She constantly inspires me and the look itself was inspired by her attitude.
The pop of blue on the eyes is the pop of inspiration she is to many individuals including myself.

Prepping the Skin
To prep the skin, I began with a hydrating face mask by Karuna. I then used Chanel’s “La Solution 10 De Chanel” mixed with “Le Blanc de Chanel”, which is a multi-use illuminating base, to help create the perfect glow.
The Base
For the foundation, I used the Nudestix Tinted Blurs with their Multiuse sticks as a blush. To create the perfect contour and highlight, I used the Fenty “Amber” and Madina “Chic & Shine” sticks. I believe that it’s important not to use too much product, but rather have a naturally radiant skin.

The Eyes
For the eyes, I began with a Mac Cosmetics paint point to help hold and give the true color and pop of blue from the Marc Jacobs eyeshadow palette Eye-Conic in Smartorial 760. Then, I used Shiseido lashes coated with the Chanel Inimitable Mascara.
For the eyebrows, I used the Plume pomade and the Anastasia clear brow gel.
How to not mess up with blue eyeshadow
In order to prevent the blue eyeshadow from falling all over the skin, I always begin my makeups with the eyes and make sure I invested in the perfect eyeshadow palette, like the Marc Jacobs ones.

The Lips
I started by exfoliating and hydrating the lips using the Revlon Kiss Exfoliating Balm and Lucas’ PaPaw Ointment. I then used “Le Crayon Lip Definer” by Chanel and Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Color by Chanel, which is perfect for a long lasting lip.
Your Beauty Secret to Share for a long-lasting makeup
The most important step to the perfect makeup begins with perfect skin. By taking care of your skin with masks and moisturizers, the finished product will look flawless.
By making sure the skin is prepped properly and hydrated, the makeup will last longer and will look more natural, with the perfect radiant glow.
How to…The Coachella waves
To achieve this look, I started with clean, damp hair. Then, I applied the Oribe Curl Gloss to help Hydrate and hold the curls. Rowan already has a natural wave in her hair, so I just used the Dyson hair dryer to defuse the hair. I believe this diffuser is the best on the market because of how it disperses the air evenly around the curls and helps reduces frizz.
Once dry, I used the T3 curling iron to help define the curls even more. In the end, I ran my fingers through the hair, messing it up and pulling some of the curls out. To help hold the hair even longer and give more of a textured look, I asked Rowan to flip her head upside down so I could spray a bit of Oribe Texture Spray to the underneath sections of the hair.
The beauty secret for the best Coachella Look
I do not believe there are any beauty secrets for the “best” Coachella look, rather it is important to have individuality. Express yourself the way you truly feel inside. If you want to have a natural look so you can feel free to wave your beautiful hair around and dance to the music, then do it.
Be the best woman or man you can be by being yourself and remember to stay hydrated by drinking water. Which, in the end, results in a radiant healthy complexion.
