Fresh and invisible by day, elegant and a slightly bit dramatic by night: we like our makeup looks versatile and quick, easily adaptable to every occasion. With a little magic trick, a radiant and creamy base for the day, with extra lightness granted by the lack of mascara, turns into a grey smokey eye. All it takes is just a few touches of our brush and a fierce red lip.
How? Well, that’s a secret…
Day Look
When we leave the house for the day, we look for a refined yet simple look that can bring that little extra touch to our face without being too much, with formulas suitable to stay on the skin for hours and that don’t turn uncomfortable to wear halfway through the morning.
September is still a mildly warm month: therefore, for this look we opted for fresh and lightweight products using mainly creamy finishes, from a veil of concealer to a seamless wash of foundation, applied with a foundation brush.
On the powder-sides, a touch of highlighting bronzer and a pop of pink on the apples of the cheeks (using our always-faithful face palette) step up the game of a light, everyday makeup that’s bright but simple, natural but pretty: the contrast is delicate but definitely there to enhance our bone structure. Also, for a truly light final result, we decided to go mascara-free: the gaze is still enhanced but it’s extremely natural and modern.
The final touch? Honest Beauty’s demi-matte lip crayon, for that touch of color that we need to go through the day!
A quick and effortless look, for every day.

Evening Look
Say that, in the evening, we’re back from work and have just a few minutes to freshen up and turn our day makeup into something perfect for a night out with friends and colleagues, or a date.
What better way to turning our simple makeup up a notch than a soft, subdued smokey eye?
To achieve that, we added a touch of drama with the Les 4 Ombres palette of the new Chanel eye collection in Blurry Grey, matching deep and elegant colors to a light and comfortable texture. The light shade brushed on the lid opens the gaze and adds radiance, while the smokey eye makeup looks dramatic but not heavy thanks to the soft formulation of the eyeshadows.
Together with a thin black line on both the upper and lower lash line, slightly blurred to make it look softer, a layer of mascara and a veil of lacquered red on the lips, our fresh and no-makeup makeup of the day easily transforms into an elegant look for the night!
